The joy of home ownership. Had a pin hole in the hot water pipe coming out of the water heater into the house turn into a water spout behind the walls of my master bathroom. After a days worth of work, I was able to find it and repair it. Of course, this was only after taking out the water heater, ripping out the wall board behind it, and checking up the pipe. This also showed that it had been a small leak over a long time, as the studs on the floor were black from rot and the wall boards in the bath were water logged and damaged. I ended up removing all the walls, replacing the bad wood, removing tile, etc. A leaky pipe has turned into a forced remodel of the master bath. Tonight (I hope), I will put the third coat of joint compound (watered down) on the replaced wall board out in the water heater space, paint it up, and put the water heater back in, restoring hot water to that side of the house. Then, I get to figure out what I am going to do with the bathroom.

Dogs

Got some dogs a couple of weekends ago, last week of August 2011 if I recall. The group HALO (some animal rescue place) had a "sale" as they were 17 years in business, so they were giving adult (older than 1 year) dogs away for $17. Went ahead and grabbed two of them, supposedly three years old each. Carlos picked out a white and black little short-legged male dog, similar to a Jack Russell, called Bing. I picked out a female brown/rust haired big chihuahua looking dog. Both are nice and quite, though Bing can get yippy when he wants something. The female is very stand-offish, possibly an indication of former abuse. We were told they were both strays. Nice dogs so far.
Nice and cool this morning. Not as dry. Not a cloud in the sky. Blue as far as the eye can see, at least my eyes. Still need to get going on the mini-farm, but the heat saps your strength/desire to do anything. Hopefully we should be feeling the first bits of fall/winter soon, then the days will get easier to cope with.

Arizona

I am back in Arizona. I have a house again. Seems like another beginning, as it did 10 years ago when I was here first. Also bought a house there. A little bit of new in my life.
Changes.
Carlos is starting high-school this year. Freshman. He's so tall. Size 13 shoe.
New career. Storage. Pretty kewl stuff. Getting the hang of it. Getting some good training.

Why do I feel like I am waiting for something.
